Americanized Cuisine vs. Fusion Food

This is all  opinion based off of observation. I am from a multiethnic area that is highly cultured so I can't stand Americanized food.  Take your typical Chinese restaurant with orange chicken and Mongolian beef. That can be good, but it is Americanized food what bugs me when restaurants call it authentic because it isn't. I love Mongolian BBQ but Mongolians don't put pineapple in their noodles, I assure you. Pineapples don't grow in the Gobi Desert, obviously.

Fusion food is different. Fusion food takes two or more cuisines that are similar or completely different (even better) and completely creates something completely new. Perhaps you have had Chinese chicken salad. Maybe you have had Asian tacos. It is often done with Asian food and Mexican food. It could be done with anything though. Fusion food is basically Americanization with intention, creativity, technique and its usually well made. It also doenst have to be fried to be good.
